Massage Oil Recipe

make my own spa products guide

You can create endless massage oil recipes with your essential oils:
  • Blend up to four essential oils in a oil base. Choose one oil as your top note, the one you want to stand out, make this half of your recipe. Then divide the other half between another two or three oils.
  • Use a 2 ounce bottle or jar ( a small glass Pyrex dish will do just fine too), fill with a quality base oil such as Jojoba, Sweet Almond, or Grapeseed oil. These are all available at the health food store. Even a light olive oil in your kitchen cabinet will work just fine.
  • Now add essential oils according to the symptoms you are trying to heal. What's your body in need of?

One note of caution. Do not add blends of essential oils to other blends of essential oil. Now you won't know what you have anymore, and blends can cancel each other out.

Notice the Healthcrafter's Guide listed above? I have had the best fun and success with all the recipes listed inside.

It's the best selling guide on the internet and you'll discover an incredible collection of more than 126 spa product recipes that you can use "as is" or easily adapt to your own needs! I highly recommend this guide for the 'do-it-yourself-product' people!

The Best Blend For a Body With Muscle Pains:

  • 2 fluid oz. base oil
  • 10 drops of Marjoram
  • 10 drops of Lavender
  • 5 drops of Wintergreen

A 2oz bottle is plenty for a full body massage. If you are simply using the oil to massage your feet or your partner's back, this blend will last you quite a while.

Remember: base oils will go rancid after several months so use up the blends you make.

A base oil always dilutes your essential oils and creates a barrier on the skin. Essential oils will take much longer to be absorbed by the skin this way, which is better for sensitive skin.

Now go ahead and make your own massage oil recipe, package it in a small organza bag and it makes for a great gift too!
