Using Essential Oils as
Natural Cleaning Products

More tips and tricks for a green home:

• Chewing Gum: Lemon essential oil will be one of your natural cleaning products always on the counter top. It dissolves chewing gum in a matter of seconds. My husband sat on a piece of gum and had it all over his new designer jeans bottom. I put two or three drops of lemon oil on the gum and was able to wipe it off with a paper towel. It will leave a oily looking spot on the clothes but that will come out in the next laundry.
• Chewing Gum in hair: Same thing. Two drops of lemon oil on the clump of hair, massage it in and wipe with paper towel or cloth as the gum dissolves.
• Laundry: Add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to the main wash water. This will kill mites in your bedding and clothes.
• Laundry Dryer: Instead of using dryer sheets that are covered with synthetic perfumes add five drops of lavender to a washcloth and throw in with the drying cycle for fresh scented clothes.
• Bedding: Make a spray with lavender and eucalyptus and spray the mattress and other bedding items to kill mites.What a nice smelling green home you have!
• Stickers: Removes with lemon oil! Rub a few drops over sticker residue, it will dissolve it fast!
• Fresh Vegetables and Fruits: After rinsing with water put your veggies and fruits in a large bowl of water with two drops of lemon oil, mix and let sit for ten minutes to help dissolve petrochemicals and kill critters. Great for berries. Rinse and enjoy!
• Dish Washing Liquid: Add five drops of lemon to your bottle on the counter. Smells clean plus extra cleaning power.
