What oil (and how much) do you put in a well to Shock it instead of clorox?

ANSWER One thing about essential oils, they don't mix with water, so you would have to figure out a way to make the essential oil find its way through your well and pipes. Not easy since essential oil drops will stay floating on top.
I see no harm in adding 10-20 drops of Thieves® oil to your well to discourage bacteria and fungal growth. But this is just a suggestion, I have never tried this. You could also check out the Thieves Household cleaner. I have added this to the bilge of our sailboat to clean it. Anyone else have some ideas? Yvonne
